MG Motor India ne official teaser dedia hain apni first and most selling product ke facelift model ka by showcasing the larger and the biggest in segment 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system and that too it has been positioned in portrait configuration which is very Tesla like. With this teaser, MG Hector facelift ka launch Indian market mein kaafi jald kiya jayega with many interior, features and exterior updates. In fact recently hee MG Hector was spotted in camouflage during a test drive and exterior changes were spied as well.
2022 MG Hector To Be Launched In October: All Expected Details-
Starting from the exterior of the new MG Hector toh as such koi major changes expect nahi kiye sakte hain but to differentiate the new MG Hector from the old one, MG offer karega new front grille to give a fresher look to the front fascia and rear end mein on offer hongi highly trending and smart looking connected LED tail lamps. Apart from these minor changes aur kuch special dekhne ko nahi milega alloy wheel design and overall stance would be kept the same as seen in the spy shots.
Major changes interior mein expect kiye jaa rahe hain and in fact MG ne tease bhi new 14-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system kiya hain which means almost poora interior layout changed dekhne ko mil sakta hain in the new MG Hector. AC vents ka new layout teased image mein spot kiya jaa sakta hain and this time also, MG Hector mein AC controls touchscreen infotainment system mein hee integrated milenge which for some is highly disturbing while for some it is smart and tech saavy.
Features ki list bhi update kari jayegi in the new MG Hector. Currently this compact SUV misses out on ADAS features jab ki MG Astor mein bhi ADAS features are on offer. So with the new MG Hector MG offer karega level 2 ADAS and more features than the MG Astor. Level 2 ADAS mein safety and convenience features like blind spot assist, lane assist and auto emergency braking jaise features dekhne ko milte hain.
Coming to the engine options to be offered, so as off now hume koi hints nahi mile hain regarding the change in engine options jo offer kiye jaa sakte hain in the new MG Hector. And sources ke according new Hector mein bi same engine options on offer honge jo 2021 MG Hector mein offer kiye jaate the. The expected engine options are 1.5-litre 4-cylinder NA petrol engine jo produce karta hain 140 PS ki max. power and 250 Nm ka max. torque and second petrol engine option is the hybrid one which has brake regeneration and engine start/stop feature.
Finally it will continue to get the 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine which does duty in Jeep Compass, Meridian,Tata Harrier and Safari. Yeh engine produce karta hain 170 PS ki max. power and 250 Nm ka max. torque mated to 6-speed manual transmission only. Whereas petrol engine ke saath MG offer karta hain both 6-speed manual and CVT transmission options.
Talking about the launch of the new MG Hector, so launch is expected before Diwali that is early October 2022. So it will compete against the newly introduced Mahindra Scorpio N and definitely MG has to do its homework in order to rival the highly anticipated Scorpio N.
