Inn new safety norms mein sabse major norm jo mention kiya gaya woh tha increase the number of airbags from two to minimum six airbags as standard safety feature in all cars regardless whatever the variant it is.

6 Airbags Rule:
Currently Indian market mein near about 75 cars hain jo offer karti hain 6 airbags but unn mein se bhi maximum brands 6 airbags offer karte hain only in the top end variant. Iss rule ko propose karne se pehle, earlier Union Minister had proposed 2 airbags rule jiske according every car has to have a minimum of 2 airbags and car manufacturers ko until this year end iss rule ko implement karna hoga in their every car including all the variant.
But abb new 6 airbags rule ke proposal se car manufacturers ko provide karne honge a minimum of 6 airbags in all their cars including all the variant. Now with this decision definitely safety toh increase hogi hee but uske saath kaafi saare added costs and limitations bhi add ho jayengi. Additional cost ki agar baat kare toh car manufacturers ki cost of manufacturing increase ho jayegi and to compensate that cost, cars ke prices increase kardiye jayenge and buyers will be charged more amount of money.
Apart from the costs and limitations jo car manufacturers ko manage karna hoga, iss rule ka sabse major advantage is rear passenger safety. With dual airbags only driver and co-driver ko airbags ka support tha incase of an accident but with 6 airbags accidents which involve side impact uss mein bhi including the rear passengers, driver and co-driver ko airbags ki safety provide hogi.
