New BMW X1 Is Here- Detailed Review (UK Spec), To Be Launched In India On 28th January 2023-
BMW Group India is going to launch the new facelifted model of their entry-level offering in the compact SUV segment which is the BMW X1. New BMW X1 Indian market mein 28th January 2022 ko debut karegi whereas yeh gaadi apne updated avtar mein already launch kari jaa chuki hain in the British market.
As per our expectations, jo version Britain mein launch kiya gaya hain wahi same product Indian bhi laya jayega although assembled yeh gaadi India mein hogi which would eventually help BMW make a statement in the segment. India Bound New BMW X1: Complete Details-
New BMW X1 shown above is a refreshed model jo UK mein launch kiya gaya hain which is a right hand drive market toh India mein bhi similar spec is expected. Although yes elements like alloy wheels and tyre profile may differ as Indian driving conditions differ to that from the UK.
Talking about the design, new BMW X1 ke front fascia ko makeover diya gaya hain which certainly makes the stance of this SUV very tall and it resembles the bigger X3. In fact ab gaadi ke proportions similar rakh ke bhi new X1 resembles to the X3 in terms of new character lines and stronger design bits which are also added as it comes from the new BMW design language.
Front end mein new and larger kidney grille and sharper lines over the bonnet and tweaked headlamps enhance karte hain gaadi ka front profile while the side profile remains almost similar but the expected new set of alloy wheels definitely be the differentiating factor. Rear profile again has been revamped with the addition of new and sharper tail lamps, restyled rear bumper and edgy spoiler. Earlier BMW X1 ka rear profile gaadi ko kaafi lightweight look deta hain but now it creates a much more sophisticated yet pleasing look.
Coming inside, new BMW X1 again has been completely revamped here too with addition of BMW’s latest features and tech. BMW ki cars mein abb new dashboard layout dekhne ko milta hain which consists of a single large panel of glass contains both the infotainment system and the digital cluster wahi layput abb new BMX x1 mein bhi dekhne ko milega.
In terms of practicality also, new BMW X1 stands out much better than the previous model. It gets new centre console (arm rest area) with no gear knob as such, shift by wire knob ab dekhne ko mil sakta hain in the Indian spec too. UI of the new infotainment system bhi abb update kiya gaya hain with shortcut buttons provided on the sides. Also, upholstery mein bhi updates kiye gaye hain, with the addition of new soft touch material too with leatherette.
Coming to the rear seats of the new BMW X1, dimensions mein changes nahi kiye gaye hain so the space factor remain mostly unchanged. But yes upholstery and textures mein customization ka option offer karega BMW to the customers. Depending on the colour of the material inside, cabin ki airiness mein toh definitely effect padta hain.
According to the source, BMW X1 ka boot space (540 litres with seats all the way back) still remains lower than the Volvo XC40 (578 litres) whereas it is way more than its opponents like the Audi Q3 jis ke boot space ki capacity is 530 litres and Merc GLA jis ka boot space is 495 litres.
Engine ki agar baat kare toh India mein on offer BMW X1 mein currently provide kiya jata hain both petrol and diesel engine options. Petrol is the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged motor jo produce karta hain 192 hp ki max. power and 280 Nm ka max. torque, whereas the diesel motor produces 190 hp ki max. power and 400 Nm ka max. torque. It is expected from BMW to keep the engine options same.
On the contrary looking at the new BS6 norms to kick in from April 2023, toh slight chances hain that BMW might even offer a hybrid powertrain with the petrol motor. This will make the new BMW X1 more fuel efficient, although prices would see a steep increase.
