Hyundai is now planning to introduce Hyundai Verna Diesel. Hyundai Verna is a best seller in its mid-size sedan segment. The one thing that pulls apart the customer is the non-availability of Diesel option in the car. Here’s everything we know about it yet.
Hyundai Verna:
Hyundai Verna now comes with a 1.5L Turbo GDi Petrol engine which produces a power of 160 PS and provides 253 Nm of Torque. You also have an option of 1.5 l MPi petrol engine with it. It offers both 6-Speed manual & 7-Speed DCT transmission which by the way works seamlessly. We have driven the Hyundai Verna for about 3000 KM and you can watch the video here.
Talking about other specs the Hyundai Verna it comes with all the necessary features which you’d expect. You also get Hyundai SmartSense technology which is their term for having ADAS. Apart from these you also get android auto/apple carplay, TPMS, ESP, ESS, EPB and other features.
Hyundai Verna Diesel:
We are assuming that with the same model Hyundai is going to launch the already popular Verna in Diesel. The same engine which they are using in the Hyundai Creta Diesel is going to be used in Verna Diesel. It is 1.5L U2 CRDi diesel engine which produces 116 PS and 250 Nm of Torque.
It is paired with 6 speed manual and 6 speed automatic transmission, we are assuming that with Verna also they are going to introduce the same gearbox options. This engine with Creta has fuel efficiency of 19.1 Kmpl with Verna also we are assuming that it would be better with Verna because of its shape and size.
What are your thoughts on it?
