Exclusive: Datsun Brand Discontinued In India, Production Ceased Due To Low Demand-
Datsun is a low cost subsidiary brand of Nissan and Nissan hee Datsun ki cars produce karta tha in India but now Nissan India has announced the end of production for Datsun cars. Iss brand ne Indian market mein three car models offer karta hain Go, Go plus and Redi-Go. Go as an entry level hatchback launch kiya gaya tha and then following this model Go Plus was launched. Redi-Go kaafi time baad 2015 mein launch kari gayi which created a lot of buzz in the small hatchback segment but then eventually Datsun ne apni sales discontinue kardi in Indonesia and Russia.
Although brand ke taraf se koi official statement present nahi kiya gaya hain on the topic but Datsun ke spokesperson ne apni statement announce kardiya tha that Datsun will soon stop its operations in India. And Nissan abb focus karega on developing its core models and segments that would benefit the customers as well as the dealer.
Adding to this spokesperson ne kaha: “We can reassure all existing and future Datsun owners that customer satisfaction remains our priority, and we will continue to provide the highest levels of after sales service, parts availability and warranty support from our national dealership network.”
Now talking about brands exiting the Indian market, toh yeh third brand hoga which is making its way out due to low sales. Isse pehle recently Ford stopped its Indian operations, whereas one more American brand General Motors (Chevrolet) ne bhi Indian market se exit karlia tha due to less demand.
