Jeep India today announced the name of their most anticipated offering for the Indian market, which is the first 7-seater full size SUV from the American brand jo hain Jeep Meridian (7-seater Compass) and would be soon revealed for the domestic market.
Earlier Jeep apni new 7-seater SUV ko Commander ka name dene wala tha but since Mahindra ne already yeh name ka trademark register kara diya tha, so Jeep couldn’t take the name Commander but instead Indian market ke liye Jeep Meridian would be the final name.
This new SUV from Jeep is a combination of refinement, sophistication, class leading performance and unmatched capability. And ussi according Jeep ne Meridian as a name carefully chose kiya hain keeping in mind the relevance and importance of this model for the Indian customers. Expected Powertrain And Features-
Jeep Meridian (7-seater Compass) ko India mein launch kiya jaa sakta hain in two variants one with the sunroof and captain seats and one without the sunroof and bench type seats in the middle row. Other features ki agar baat kare toh, in the top end variant Meridian ke aap expect kar sakte hain panoramic sunroof, large touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech, ventilated seats, powered front seats adjustment, digital instrument cluster, multiple airbags etc.
In terms of powertrain, Meridian is expected to be powered by the same 2.0-litre engine jo currently Jeep Compass mein bhi on offer hain. With this engine, Jeep de sakta hain 48V mild hybrid system to make the engine a bit more fuel efficient looking at the increasing prices of fuel day by day.
