Mahindra Thar Achieve One More Milestone, Reaches 1 Lakh Production Mark-
Mahindra and Mahindra unlocked another milestone with their lifestyle off-roading capable vehicle which is the new Mahindra Thar, yeh milestone hain of reaching 1 lakh production mark in India. That’s definitely a proud moment for the Indian auto manufacturer that in just 2.5 years of launch, Thar ne already apni space aaj kal ki sub/compact SUVs mein properly create karli hain not only space but the demand has always multiplied.
After the launch of a more city road specific Mahindra Thar 4×2, iss gaadi ki demand aur increase ho chuki hain because not everyone wants a Thar to go off-road, due to the road presence and feel of the iconic Indian off-roader people just want to enjoy the feel of owning a Mahindra Thar.

Mahindra Thar offer kari jaati hain in both petrol and diesel engine options with both manual and automatic transmission options on offer. Petrol engine is the mStallion 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged unit jo produce karta hain 198 bhp ki max. power and 380 Nm ka max. torque, whereas the diesel engine is the 2.2-litre turbocharged unit jo produce karta hain 173 bhp ki max. power and 400 Nm ka max. torque. Both these engines are either mated to 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission units.
But recently launched Mahindra Thar 4×2 all-new D117 CRDe 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine diya gaya hain jo produce karta hain 117 PS ki max. power and 300 Nm ka max. torque. Now with this engine option, Mahindra ne offer kiya hain sirf 6-speed manual transmission unit. Petrol engine mein same 2.0-litre unit is on offer with both manual and automatic transmission options.
Coming on to the features on offer, top end trims of Mahindra Thar are equipped with the following equipment: LED DRLs, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and navigation, electric adjustable ORVMs, TPMS, voice commands, cruise control, steering mounted controls, automatic climate control etc.
