Maruti Suzuki’s best selling car Alto K10 also known as “Lord Alto” gets a new safety upgrade. Among other safety features, now it comes with 6 Airbags standard across all variants.
Maruti Suzuki now has been upgrading its all mass-market vehicles and nowadays safety is also a major concern for all Indian customers. We Indians have loved Maruti cars a lot but to be honest, we all have been a little skeptical about safety in these cars. Since, now a days everybody is concerned about safety Maruti also started to look into it and came up with their safest option the all new Dzire.
With Dzire they made a lot of noise about the safety of the car, but what about the existing line-up. These cars are also doing great numbers every month and still loved by Indians. So to address this Maruti is now finally upgrading security in their existing lineups as well.
To start with, Alto K10 has received major safety upgrades. Now it comes with 6-Airbags as standard across all variants which is a very useful safety feature. Also, Maruti already introduced ABS with EBD and Electronic Stability Program(ESP) in ALTO K10 last year. Now with the inclusions of Airbags as standard you’ll feel safer in the car than ever. Even the base variant have safety features like three-point seatbelts for rear passengers and reversing sensors.
Alto K10 2025:
There would be no mechanical changes it still comes with 1.0L three cylinder petrol engine which generates 67 bhp of power and 91 Nm of torque while in petrol. CNG version delivers 55bhp and 82Nm of torque. As, standard 5 speed manual transmission is provided but you also get an option of five-speed AMT.
Maruti Suzuki’s Alto K10 comes in multiple variants. The base STD(O) petrol manual is priced at Rs 4.09 Lakhs. The second LXi(O) petrol manual is priced at Rs 4.93Lakhs. Moving up we also have the VXi(O) petrol manual which is priced at Rs 5.15 Lakhs and then the VXi Plus (O) which is priced at Rs 5.50 Lakhs. These are all ex-showroom prices for Manual version.
For drivers preferring AMT, the VXi(O) AGS petrol is offered at Rs 5.65 Lakhs while the VXi Plus (O) is the top model in petrol at Rs 6.00 Lakh. Now if you prefer CNG over petrol for better fuel efficiency you have the LXi(O) S-CNG available at Rs 5.83 Lakhs and to top this off the VXi(O) S-CNG costs Rs 6.05 Lakh.
The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 reached a major milestone in 2023 by surpassing 45 Lakh sales. It has been dominating the small car segment for over 2 decades now. The Alto’s journey started in 2000, followed by first gen Alto K10 series which was launched in 2010. By 2016, it had already crossed the milestone of 30 lakh sales and the following 8 year helped it to get to the 45 Lakh sales mark.
