New 2022 Volkswagen Virtus Global Sedan Revealed In India-
Volkswagen India today has announced the global debut of the new Virtus in India. Volkswagen Virtus is based on the same platform on which Skoda Slavia is based which is the Volkswagen group’s India-specific platform MQB AO-IN. New Volkswagen Virtus compete karegi with recently launched Skoda Slavia, Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Ciaz. Volkswagen Virtus ke bhi same dimensions honge like the Skoda Slavia and in terms of features as well it will get all the segment first features which are being offered in the Slavia. Virtus and Slavia ka only difference is the way both cars look and feel from inside. In terms of powertrains also, Volkswagen Virtus mein same engine options on offer honge with same transmission unit options.
2022 Volkswagen Virtus Makes Global Debut | All Details-
Starting from the dimensions so the new Volkswagen Virtus hain segment ki longest, widest and with the longest wheelbase car. And similar to the Skoda Slavia iss gaadi ka bhi bootspace and ground clearance is best in segment.
Dimensions: length x Width x Height: 4561 mm x 1752 mm x 1507 mm, Wheelbase: 2651 mm, Bootspace: 521 litres and Ground Clearance: 179 mm.
Engine options ki agar baat kare toh again similar to the Skoda Slavia, new 2022 Volkswagen Virtus is powered by two petrol engine options first one is the 1.0-litre turbocharged TSI petrol engine jo produce karta hain 115 PS ki max. power and 175 Nm ka max. torque and second option is the 1.5-litre turbocharged TSI petrol engine jo produce karta hain 150 PS ki max. power and 250 Nm ka max. torque. With the 1.0-litre engine the transmission options customers would get will be 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor for automatic. But with 1.5-litre engine customers ko milega either 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG transmission options.
Exterior styling mein Virtus has a quite distinctive looking exterior from its sibling Slavia. Front end mein Virtus ke di gayi hain sleek LED headlamps with smartly integrated LED DRLs, chrome finishing of the front grille and fog lamp housing and muscular bonnet design to top it up. Side profile is made to look impressive with the new 16-inch razor gloss black alloy wheels with front red brake callipers (only in GT line), blacked out ORVMs, strong character line, chrome on window line etc. Now coming to the rear end, it gets smoked LED tail lamps, black shark fin antenna, chrome finish on lower lip of rear bumper, integrated black lip spoiler on the tail gate etc.
Interior ki agar baat kare toh, new Volkswagen Virtus ka sort of interior layout is similar to that of Skoda Slavia but distinctive changes like the colour and material is the dashboard makes all the difference. Centre of the dashboard mein aap dekh sakte hain gloss black finish diya gaya hain with red surround (exclusive to GT line) making it look sporty.
Apart from this it gets same as Slavia’s (10-inch) touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and Volkswagen connect 2.0 connected car tech, automatic climate control, 8-inch virtual cockpit for driver’s display, cooled glovebox, ventilated seats, auto dimming IRVM, power folding and adjustable ORVMs, rain sensing wipers, auto headlamps, push button start/stop, etc.
In terms of safety equipment new 2022 Volkswagen Virtus is equipped with 40+ safety features like 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera with sensors, ESC, multi collision brakes, tyre pressure monitoring system, side impact protection beam, hill hold control etc.
Variants ki jaha tak baat aati hain toh Volkswagen Virtus offer kari jayegi in two line ups one is Dynamic and other one is GT line.
