Skoda Kushaq / VW Taigun Finally Tested For Global NCAP, And Scores A Perfect 5-Star In GNCAP-
Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun owners have a piece of good news to rejoice and be proud which is nothing but a perfect score of 5-star in the GNcap safety crash test. This time Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun ko test kiya gaya tha under the new GNcap, and that is why VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq become the First cars to be assessed under the new GNCAP regulations and achieve a 5-star rating in Adult and Child(first in India) for Occupants.

The first round of results under GNCAP’s more demanding crash test requirements for India were published today with the Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq scoring top star ratings for adult and child occupant safety. Updated GNCAP test protocols mein frontal and side impact protection for all tested models, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), pedestrian protection and side impact pole protection asses kiye jayenge and in the case of Kushaq and Taigun yahi protocol follow kari gayi thi.
Assessed in their most basic safety specification, with ESC fitted as standard, dono hee SUVs ne demonstrate kiya ek stable overall structure in the frontal impact, and in case of adult occupants, dono hee SUVs ne show kari adequate to good protection. Whereas marginal to good protection in the side impact scenarios, but child occupants ke case mein, child occupants received full protection during the front and side impact.
Iss safety crash test ke baad, GNCAP Secretary General, Mr Alejandro Furas ka kehna kuch iss prakar tha:
“We welcome and congratulate Skoda and Volkswagen’s initiative to meet Global NCAP’s new five star requirements for the Kushaq and Taigun through voluntary testing.
“We urge all car makers to aspire to and achieve this level of crash test performance going forward, maintaining the momentum of safety improvements we have seen steadily develop through our programme since we began our Indian testing in 2014”.
Kushaq and Taigun dono hee equally equipped cars hain in terms of safety features. Dono hee cars mein buyers get the following safety features:
ABS with EBD, ESC, 6-airbags, multi collision braking system, anti theft alarm, auto dimming IRVM, rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, anti glare outside rear view mirrors, cruise control etc.
Apart from this, both these cars get the same engine options as well,
1.0L TSI 3-cylinder Petrol engine: Yeh engine produce karta hain 115PS ki max. power and 178 Nm ka max. torque, whereas on the other hand second engine option is 1.5L TSI EVO 4-cylinder Petrol engine jo produce karta hain 150 PS ki max. power and 250 Nm ka max. torque.
