Toyota Yaris Discontinued In India | New Sedan Planned For 2022- Toyota Kirloskar has finally taken the decision to discontinue their only offering in the sedan segment in India. Toyota Yaris ki production abb stop kardi jaa chuki hain and this decision will officially come into effect from 27th September 2021 onwards. Interested buyers jo chahte hain to purchase this sedan, they can contact their nearest dealerships for remaining stocks.
Indian market mein Toyota ne apni first sedan Etios jo kaafi successful hui thi, uske baad Yaris launch kari thi in the year 2018 but from then only Yaris ko feeka response milta aa raha hain. In the sedan segment Indian market mein there are three most selling models jo hain Honda City, Hyundai Verna and MS Ciaz. Inn teeno ki hee sales, Toyota Yaris kabhi bhi compete nahi kar payi and henceforth this decision has been taken.
But there’s one positive side too, Toyota and Maruti Suzuki ke collaboration ke under already Toyota is selling two rebadged cars Baleno and Brezza and now Yaris ke discontinue hone par its highly expected that Toyota Ciaz ko rebadge karke apni new offering in the sedan segment launch karega as Toyota Belt (Expected).
Toyota Yaris To Be Discontinued From 27th September 2021-
In the sedan segment Toyota Yaris was amongst the safest option and the most reliable one too. But Yaris ke exterior looks, interior feel and less practical hone ki wajah se Indian market ne kabhi iss gaadi ko accept nahi kiya unlike the other three sedans.
Engine Specifications-
Toyota Yaris was powered by a 1.5L BS6 petrol engine only, there is diesel option on offer which is again a down side. Yeh 1.5L petrol engine produce karta hain 107 PS ki max. power and 140 Nm ka max.torque mated with 6-speed manual and 7-speed CVT automatic transmission units. Claimed mileage iss gaadi was around 17 to 18 kmpl with manual and automatic transmission.
Features On Offer-
Toyota Yaris mein kaafi saare first in class features on offer hain, but ultimately it failed to cater all the needs jo Indian buyers ko required thi.
